We’re proud to share that a few of our students had the opportunity to attend the WIU School of Nursing Open House on today held in Currens Hall!

From 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., students were able to:
🩺 Tour the School of Nursing
📚 Learn about admission requirements and transfer pathways
👩‍⚕️ Meet with advisors, faculty, and the director
🔬 Rotate through nursing labs
💉 Participate in hands-on demonstrations of essential nursing skills

This was a great opportunity for our students to explore careers in healthcare and get a firsthand look at what it takes to pursue a degree in nursing. We’re excited to see them taking steps toward their future goals! 💜

Fast. Aggressive. Focused. And victorious! The Cyclones earned an impressive 61–49 win over Camp Point in a high-intensity, fast-paced game tonight. From start to finish, our boys played with relentless energy, toughness, and determination on both ends of the floor. With the win, the Cyclones advance to the Regional Championship Game on Friday at 6:00 PM at Tremont High School, where they will face Tremont with a regional title on the line. Learning math by thinking, collaborating, and doing. In Mr. Rogers’ 8th grade math class, students worked together to explore how to calculate the volume of a cylinder. Rather than simply being shown a formula, students engaged in collaborative problem-solving, discussing strategies, testing ideas, and learning from one another. This approach reflects our junior high math commitment to building thinking classrooms, where students actively engage in the learning process, explain their reasoning, and deepen their understanding through meaningful collaboration. When students work together to think through complex problems, they build not only math skills—but confidence, communication, and perseverance. Great work, Cyclones! #CycloneNation #WestPrairieProud
