Earlier this week our new teachers and administrators hit the road for a district tour, getting to know the communities that make up West Prairie!
From the sights of Fandon and Tennessee to the charm of Colchester, Blandinsville, Sciota, and Good Hope — it was a great day learning the lay of the land and seeing firsthand the pride and heart of #CycloneNation.
We can’t wait for an amazing year ahead! #WestPrairieProud

Our junior high Cyclone softball team kicked off the season with a hard-fought battle against Macomb, falling 9-4 in a full 7-inning showdown. While the scoreboard didn’t swing our way, our girls showed tremendous heart, hustle, and team spirit from the first pitch to the final out. This is just the beginning—big things are ahead for this group!

Why Play 8-Man Football?
Fast. Fun. Wide Open.
If you’re an athlete who loves speed, space, and competition, 8-man football is your game. With fewer players on the field, every athlete has more chances to shine — more touches, more tackles, more opportunities to showcase your athleticism in a fast-paced, high-scoring environment.
And here’s something else: 8-man football is safer than many people realize. Research shows fewer injuries compared to traditional 11-man football — thanks to fewer pileups, less congestion, and more open-field play.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the sport, 8-man is the perfect way to get involved, develop your skills, and experience the thrill of Friday night lights.
Join the Cyclones and be part of something exciting!
