Congratulations to our April 2021 “Cyclones of the Month”

These students & staff “Do It R.I.G.H.T.” (Respect, Integrity, Generosity, Homework, Teamwork) 

9th Grade: Joshua Watters, son of Ray & Sandra Watters

Josh is an exceptional student who is earning all A’s and B’s. He is a quiet role model for his peers who leads by example. He has strong attendance to school and he behaves well for his teachers as is evident with zero referrals all year. Josh exemplifies our “Do It R.I.G.H.T.” motto in all he does.

10th Grade: Braydon DeCounter, son of Sam & Heather DeCounter

11th Grade: Brandon Clark, son of Mark & Jennifer Clark

Brandon is a scholar and athlete at WPHS. He consistently earns A’s and B’s in his classes. He plays hard to contribute to the success of our Cyclone Basketball Team the past 3 years. Brandon drew the winning art design for our 2020-21 WPHS Staff shirt: “H.O.P.E.” (Have Only Positive Expectations).

12th Grade: Madison Calvert, daughter of Steve & Rhonda Calvert
Madison is an amazing student and student-athlete. She is earning all A’s in all of her classes and she rarely misses a day of school. Madison is a starter and leader on our highly successful Cyclone Volleyball Team! She is an active member in our awesome WPHS FFA Chapter too. We will miss Madison next year because she is a strong, positive student who epitomizes “Do it R.I.G.H.T

Staff: Mr. Sam DeCounter, Agriculture Teacher & FFA Co-Advisor

Mr. DeCounter is a strong, dependable, supportive Teacher and FFA Advisor at WPHS. Sam cares a lot for our students, FFA members, and student-athletes. Sam fits in coaching multiple sports on top of sharing the leadership of our amazing FFA Chapter with Ms. Biswell. Sam led and organized our College/Career Day for Seniors this year. He is deeply invested in West Prairie and does all he can to help all students to leave WPHS prepared to go on to be successful in whatever they choose to do.
