WPHS Homework Help Consequences for 2019-2020

If you are assigned to Homework Help and choose not to attend, there will be consequences.

First Offense: Ms. Salyers or Mr. Cox will help you call your parent and explain to them that you have been assigned to Homework Help and need to stay until 3:35 to complete missing assignments to help you bring your grade up.

Second Offense:  Lunch Detention

Third Offense:  After School Detention

Fourth & Successive Offenses:  In-School Suspension or Saturday School

The goal of Homework Help is to help you develop the ability to meet deadlines as well as to improve your grades by submitting work that would otherwise receive a zero. Leaving school at 3:10 is a privilege given to students who are meeting academic and behavioral expectations. No excuses will be accepted for missing Homework Help. If you don’t want to attend, turn in your assignments when they are due - Deadlines Matter!

You DO NOT have to be assigned to Homework Help to stay for help. Our teachers are available from 3:10 - 3:35 daily. If you would like to go to the Homework Help classroom while you are waiting on a bus or for an activity, you are welcome to use that as a quiet place to get your work done.
