Posted on 10/12/2018
NTN-Bower InterviewOn Wednesday, October 10th, West Prairie seniors worked with representatives from area businesses to gain experiences relating to career interests and job searches.  Our seniors wish to thank the following for their work with the students:

  • Mr. Will Urish, Hornady Manufacturing
  • Mr. Nick Severs, Macomb Police Department
  • Mrs. Shelley Wear, Carthage Memorial Clinic
  • Mrs. Caitlin Watson, West Prairie Middle School
  • Mr. Lance Holtzclaw, Nutrien Agriculture
  • Ms. Christina Brown, McDonough District Hospital
  • Mrs. Kim Hall, United Community Bank
  • Mr. Adam Smutzer, Hy-Vee of Macomb
  • Mrs. and Mrs. Mike Weaver, Weaver Automotive
  • Mrs. Linda Peart, NTN-Bower
  • Mrs. Amanda McCraven, WIU Career Development Office

West Prairie seniors participated in mock interviews and also had an opportunity to turn the tables by interviewing one of the guests in a small group. One student from each group then gave a short impromptu presentation about the business professional interviewed and what the group learned about their career area. The event was held at the Spotlight Event Center in Colchester. Thank you Stanley and Renee Creasy for your help in making our workshop a success. West Prairie plans to conduct another workshop for the Class of 2020 next fall in mid October. Anyone interesting in participating next year can contact Scott Sullivan at sullivans@wp103.org or at (309) 456-3750.
